AutoScout24 is the largest online automobile advertising portal in Europe. The marketplace enables its customers to fulfil the dream of owning their own car simply, efficiently and stress-free. On AutoScout24, dealers and private sellers can place ads for used and new cars. In addition, the portal offers its customers advertising products such as display advertising and products for attracting potential customers among other participants in the automotive sector and neighbouring markets. In Germany, AutoScout24 enjoys a unique supported brand awareness of 95 percent in its target group. The company employs over 400 people and records 10 millions users per month with over 2.4 million active vehicle offers.

AutoScout24 belongs to the Scout24 group, which runs leading online marketplaces for real estates and automobiles in Germany and over 18 other selected European countries.

Functions

As part of the highly agile and international UX Design team, I was responsible for the site search, product listing and product detail design. Daily tasks included, inter alia, the:

  • Conception and development of pixel perfect design elements, components and screens, based on user and product requirements for a cross-platform user experience
  • Identification of optimization potential and development of concepts for the interaction and visual design of the mobile app and the website
  • Maintenance and extension of the UI library
  • Creation of prototypes and surveys for usability tests and user studies
  • Research of competitor data and comprehensive analysis
